Memories from Emerald Group’s Sponsorship of the Cyprus-Israel Regatta 2019
Emerald Group’s DNA is built on 4 core values, one of which is Contribution. We have been working with Israeli Companies and Clients for over 19 years and last year decided it was time to give back and sponsor an important event that is aimed at strengthening the friendship between Israel and Cyprus, the “Cyprus-Israel Regatta”.
This event has been taking place every year since 2011 through the joint efforts of Israel Yacht Club (IYC), Limassol Marina, Tel Aviv Marina and Herzliya Marina, The Ministry of Tourism of Cyprus as well as the Cyprus Embassy in Israel.
It is 6 days filled with sailing and other events including a race and accompanied by a non-racing flotilla. The event is further enhanced with and opening and closing ceremony as well as cocktail parties and gatherings in-between in order to facilitate a friendly environment for all the participants to socialize, exchange ideas and discussions with an aim to build further the strength of the relationships between Cypriot and Israeli businesses and sailing communities.
For Emerald Group it was an honor to support this event with a financial contribution to ensure the organizational efforts of all the teams involved had the funds necessary to make the 9th anniversary of the regatta a big success.
Our CEO, Roksoliana K. Melnyk took part in all the activities including the 25+ hour beautiful sailing trip from Cyprus to Israel and was also invited to give a speech at the closing ceremony of the event.
